Last Saturday (Dec. 04, 2010) we hosted the 2010 western regional for FLL (FIRST Lego League). During the practice matches we were a bit behind schedule, but soon after we got back on schedule. Overall I think it was a big success.

Yesterday after school Jerry and Karen came over to help with the National Underwater Robotics Challenge (NURC). I helped build some of the NURC props. Tomorrow I am taking the PSAT.

It looks like all my hard work payed off this week because I passed my the Ham Radio test on my first try. I was nervous at first because I thought my nerves were going to mess me up, but when I started taking the test I felt confidant on all my answers. At the end I got a magazine and a seven function digital multimeter as a reward for passing the test.

Today was my third day attending the Ham Radio class. The ham radio books finally came in today. There is a lot of information to remember. Mr. Cordova came in today and gave us all two pencils and a pen, I thought that was nice of him. This Friday is the test and I am getting kind of nervous, I still need to get the $15.00 in order to take the test.

Yesterday I helped Ricardo and Joach cut the PVC pyramid. Next week starting on Monday I am going to start taking the ham radio class, I am going to listen and do my best to learn everything I need to know for the test. The test is going to be on Friday, I want to pass it my first time that way my $15.00 don't go to waste.

Yesterday after school I attended the pneumatics workshop. I also helped on the ping pong cannon for the rookie robot. The last thing we did is test out the ping pong cannon and works great.

It was nice seeing my cousin Karla and her husband Oscar reunited again, after all they been through. Yesterday in the morning the robotics room got flooded and it took the whole morning to clean it up. After school we worked on the robot.

Yesterday I attended the Google docs workshop. I think it's easy to understand and use, its just like Microsoft office, but free. Eddie also showed us a safety slide show. Then we started to build a robot, we got the skeleton of the robot built. Today after school we are going to start on the cheese pattern.
